All the time, but theres factors that we don't see from a life to life basis
That usually catches me when I'm comparing myself to someone which is an exercise in futility

I would actually disagree with this. You run your own race but you don’t have all the time in the world and you can, in fact, waste time.

The issue that the OP and others have when they look back over a period of time and think that they have nothing to show for it is that they haven’t mastered efficiency. They haven’t made the best and optimal use of their time.

Efficiency deals with thorough planning. It deals with productivity. It deals with focus. It deals with procrastination. It deals with time allocation. It deals with knowing strengths and areas of weaknesses and addressing them. It deals with process improvement. It deals with automation. It deals with learning from mistakes and self-correction.

The idea of efficiency is a great skill to be studied and mastered.

It is the reason why some people acquired all the things that OP is opining for in less the time.

On a macro level, the black community as a whole is already behind and many of us who do end up being successful in some sense have had to work double time just for economic parity. Imagine, if you are not making the best use of your time how even further behind you are.

I agree you’re running your own race, but you have to be efficient with the time that you have because every minute counts.

Any tips for us nikkas who fukked up outchea :mjcry:

Me and my friend were literally talking about this the other day. Some times you look at people and your surroundings and it makes you feel like your far behind. What people fail to realize is that, everyone is exactly where there supposed to be at in their life right now. Wether your life is the product of your choices and free will what ever the case may be. I’m young still in my early 20’s and older people always tell me live in the moment, because if your constantly worried about how you want your life to be, your not enjoying the now. So, you’ll always be in a depressed sad state of you think your far behind.

I’m in my mid 20s and I’m shooting to graduate as a civil engineer next year spring 2020 , I’m not gonna front my brother it wasn’t easy , I switched my major about 3 times , the school I’m attending been throwing me punches and roadblocks non stop :mjcry:, they literally canceled one of my design courses for my senior class . I almost had a break down .
but we almost at the finish line tho. Keep grinding my G

regarding traveling , about 3-4 years ago I made a promise to myself to go on a trip and see a new country after each semester due to the stress I go through for managing a full time job and full time student . It doesn’t take that much to travel , as long as you plan accordingly, it’s a different world out there , different cultures it expends my mind & the way I think .

at the moment , keep relationship in the back burner focus on getting your life in order , everything else will fall into place ( as far as I’m concerned as long as you’re alive & not in jail ) you’re in a good place .

I also somewhat feel like I am behind in life. When I graduated from school in 2015 with my mechanical engineering degree, I did not receive one job offer. After graduating, I was going to interview after interview but still no job offer. It took me until July 2017 to get a legitimate full time job, but this was a low-paying CAD designer job for a manufacturing company. Finally, I was able to obtain a job offer as a mechanical engineer from a legit company back in November 2018. I had to relocate for this job too. I did not actually start the job until February 2019 when I was 26. I still think that I am behind in life, but I am fortunate to have a decent job. Still working to pay off these student loans.

Only thing that matters is if you ahead of where you were yesterday. Tomorrow's not promised so make the effort to improve yourself today and not worry about where you are in relation to your peers. Plenty of people that had success when they were older as well as when they were younger. As long as you happy, don't stress about meeting certain goals based on what your peers have done. Focus on yourself and you'll get where you need to be in no time.
