Anybody else into camping?

Before you get started I'm not talking about staying in a winter cabin all cozy and booed up with your significant other.

I'm talking about camping outdoors with or without tents and/or sleeping bags away from home.

I discovered my love for this type of sh!t when i was in the army. However being out in the field between 12-17 days aint whats hot in them streets.

Lately (last 2 years) ive been going camping again with friends every couple of months or so. Im not into hunting or fishing but just to chill around nature with no TV or even phone reception in some cases. The way we do it is really a 3-day outdoors BBQ with tents. lol

We all bring food, liquor, weed and a boo.. or two. One of our guys has an "open marriage" and brings his wife and side-chick (they're actually best friends). And we all share and just chill.

Edit: We share food and drinks.. not the women.

We just chill out between friday afternoon an sunday midday. We fish, cook, smoke, drink, fukk. Whatever. We'll sometimes even leave the camp and wonder around the small towns nearby for random fukery

I really enjoy it but only for like a day or two at most, then I just want to get the fukk out of there and go back to my crib. here in kentucky we go to red river gorge, beautiful place. I actually enjoy hiking more than anything. But it's fun to smoke some blunts and eat food around the campfire as it gets pitch black outside and the stars and milky way illuminate the sky

Yip, my friends and I go 2 to 3 times a year and I go about once a year with my family.

We do basically exactly what you described.

you don't have any friends you know of who camp? I always go with some eagle scouts or people who camp all the time but honestly most of these camp sites are setup with a fire pit and places to put your tent, and there are usually bathrooms and a place to get water near the camp sites. It's pretty retard proof unless you're going to a more hardcore area

I love camping/hiking. Just went with my dad on a trip out west. My whole family went once when I was younger but it wasn't for my mom and sister and they complained the whole damn time.

The only thing I hate is how expensive basic ass camping gear is... Go to rei or someplace and it's like $30 for a fukking bowl or flashlight.

Although as far as vacations go camping is a cheaper option... A night at a campground in a national park is usually no more than $20

Ive done a few of those. In the future id like to do more rough camping I am not down with having to dig a hole if i need to sh!t but wouldnt totally oppose it.

I've done camping with tent/limited elec, in a provincial park but not actually roughing id love to go sometime in sept before it gets too cold but not many of my friends like camping

I just counted. Out of the 15 different people that i know and have camped with only 2 are white.
