No disrespect to y'all dudes, but I never watched any of the movies and honestly it never seemed appealing to me.

Maybe if I watched it when I was younger and wasn't already familiar with the whole "Luke I am your father" shyt, but I just don't get it

So to the fans, what's the hype?

Of course I saw star wars in the 80s. I was a kid and it was popular, but it just didnt appeal to me.
And now as a grown man it REALLY has zero appeal to me, and actually seems corny and stupid.

I dont understand that certain people dont understand the hype...its classic good vs evil that incorporates a father/son dynamic into that plot...

Not to mention the marketing with the toys and video games....If you dont like it thats cool but to say you dont get the hype i question your intellect.

I never liked Lord of the Rings but i understood the hype for it...
