I can't speak on that thread, sounds like something I would have deleted. Personally, I would ban gender wars unless the thread was based on factual evidence, but that's just me being consistent with tackling all arguments, assuming it's done in good faith.

Regarding what does and doesn't get banned, we have no clarity regarding moderation on this site, I don't even know what moderators have privileges to ban or not. So a lack of mods with that power could significantly impact how the site is moderated. I have called for a ton of MAGAheads to be banned at this point, they relentlessly troll black issues with "both sides" nonsense and provide no evidence to back their claims, they just argue ad nauseum, they have never and likely will never get banned so I just blocked them.

I'm not even trying to make arguments for either sides. I just fukking hate people being unreasonable, illogical, and arguing in bad faith. Honestly there are few things that piss me off as much as that. It's like when you were arguing with that one poster on women fearing everyday violence, I would actually lean towards defending their position but the way they went about arguing was so stupid that it drove me crazy. I think there is reasonable discussion to be had on gender related issues, specifically those involving black people, but the serious discussion should be reserved for adults that can prove they can be reasonable, not the trolls or severely scorned people that can't think reasonably.

I don't care if I vehemently disagree with someone, all I ask is for an honest, logical, and good-faith discussion. Simple, that's what we should be pushing for, reaching truth, it would greatly benefit people across a multitude of topics, if not all.
