Honestly, I'll probably still be firing up the ps3/360 (if i get it fixed) even when i get the ps4.

This year been as good if not better than any other year this gen. You gotta go back to snes days to witness such prolonged eating as in the now, and even then, games didn't have such innovative styles as todays are.

In all earnestness, I think the current gen systems are obviously showing their age as far as graphics go... but there are definitely a bunch of good games I still want to play. The number of console exclusives on that list continues to dwindle however.

I'm sure I've missed some games, but damn this has been an awesome year for the current gen and heat is still on the way.

Yeah I know launch titles aren't known for their quality. But I'm just ready for some new graphics and some new gameplay elements that can't be done on current gen systems.
Yes some good looking games are still coming out, but ultimately they are the same shyt we've been playing for years.

I was just listing stuff that I recalled dropping this year or will be.
I'm ready to use the new controllers. I'm tired of ps3 updates every two seconds. I'm ready to use the kinect 2.0 and get and upgrade to the Xbox OS/UI.
We've been playing with these same boxes for 8 years now. It's just not exciting to boot one of them up anymore. They feel old and outdated compared to the other electronics I use on a daily basis. After watching e3 and seeing all the interviews, previews, tech demos, etc my body is ready

Dawg... none of the launch titles dropping for PS4 or the One will have groundbreaking gameplay elements that can't be done on current gen.
And if you want new graphics, look into PC gaming.

I'm not buying a PC. And there is plenty of stuff going on in the launch titles that couldn't be done this gen. Even the particle effects in knack would be impossible on the ps3

The particle effects in knack are a big part of the gameplay Battlefield 4

Kinect sports rivals
And soon after launch there is TitanFall, The Division and, Destiny

Battlefield 4, and Watchdogs are releasing on current gen consoles.
Forza 5 doesn't even have all of the features that were in the 360 game.
Dead Rising looked decent, not sure why you think that qualifies though.

Let's stay on topic. I'm talking about launch titles. No point in naming shyt that's not dropping for another 10 to 12 months plus.
The graphics, destruction, and the sheer amount of excitement on screen in battlefield 4 can not be replicated on current gen consoles.

Watchdogs will be a totally different game.

Open world, hundreds of zombies around every corner, couldn't be done on 360
Gameplay looks shallow, but if you pay attention to the war that's going on around you, all of it is being done in real time with real A.I. And "online coliseum mode" sounds cool whatever game your talking about.
Climbing, darts, target shooting. You can scan your likeness into the game. And cloud features.
