Because that might break the economy beyond repair. NO ONE, Biden especially, is trying to mandate a lockdown. That might end his presidency, because half the country is vaccinated, and you’re essentially telling them because the stupid half of the country is unvaccinated, they will cause you to lose your job, business and retirement? That would legit cause mass outrage and panic.
What SHOULD happen, is more business and entertainment venues mandating the vaccine. If more employers and businesses impose vaccine mandates, the stupid people will have no choice but to comply. Are they actually going to risk not having a job, and becoming social pariahs to prove their dumb point? There’s already evidence that mandating the vaccine works. Biden’s announcement yesterday that ALL Fed employees must be vaccinated is a huge deal. The FED is the largest employer in the US. If the bigger companies follow suit, then that’s ballgame. There’s been a 30% increase in vaccines administered compared to a week ago. You got to scare these dummies into taking the damn shot.
Stupid people are the majority and cause a run on items. So the rest of us have no choice but to join in too

So before we go back to lockdown they would make it mandatory people get vaccinated? I agree with you by the way that’s why I think the only way we go back on lockdown is if the variant starts offing people.
Yep. The data from India and the UK that just came out about the Delta Variant is very encouraging. Both those countries are seeing a rapid decline in cases after the Delta Variant ran roughshod for about 2 months. The working theory is that it burns through the unvaccinated quicker, and the vaccinated are straight, because they don’t end up dead or in the hospital if they get it. The vaccinated who do get symptomatic, have cold like symptoms, which are mild. Basically, half the country is gucci if they get the Delta. This isn’t like last year, when there wasn’t a vaccine, and everyone was at risk of serious symptoms if they caught COVID.
That’s why there won’t be another shutdown. People who are vaccinated, aren’t in any danger, except the possibility of transmitting to unvaccinated people. It makes no sense to shut down and tank the economy, because we have stupid people who can get the vaccine, who won’t. Why should 50% of the country suffer because of the stupidity of the other 50%?
Businesses, entertainment venues and restaurants will end up mandating the vaccine at some point in the near future. If that happens, we can get a lot closer to that 75-80% vaccination number, that will get the country back to normal.

I'll believe it when I see it. Data doesn't really support another lockdown. Locking down is economic and political suicide.
I won't be surprised if this is true. Two weeks ago on here I said we were headed for another lockdown, people thought it wouldn't happen. Mfs are not paying attention and looking at trends.

If there is another lockdown it won’t be like last time where you have a choice. Things would have to get so bad that if they did declare another lockdown it’ll be compulsory and they’ll most likely mandate vaccines for everyone during it.
