President Obama’s heralded arrival in Israel nearly hit a speed bump on Wednesday as the armored limo expected to carry him from the airport broke down.

The high-security car, known as “The Beast,” died after its driver refueled it with gasoline rather than diesel fuel, CNN reported.

The breakdown forced Israeli and Jordanian officials to scramble to bring a replacement limo from a storage facility in Jordan to the Ben-Gurion Airport, according to The Times of Israel.

Some Israelis may have seen the mishap as payback for the traffic headaches Obama’s arrival had created.
