Anybody else's mind still blown that prostitution is still illegal?

Help me understand.

Fornication is legal, paying for dates is legal, paying strippers is legal, PAYING WOMEN JUST TO LOOK AT THEIR NUDES/fukk OTHER DUDES IS LEGAL, buy God forbid legalizing paying money to just get to the point and fukk.

Women have traded sex for favors since the beginning of time, but in our highly sexualized society, a dude still goes to jail if he's caught fukkin hookers.

Why is this? Do you think it should be legalized? Why/why not?

Prostitution generally involves condoms. It's the regular bar/tinder hookups where people are saying "fukk it" and going raw.

Also, legalization usually leads to regulation. You can bet the brothels that would eventually open would have regular STD screenings for its employees.

Condoms dont stop all STDs. You cant make prostitution “safe sex”. Way too many connected data points. It’s nuts to think you can make brothels clinical.

Stop believing hos and pornstars telling you theyre cleaner because they use condoms.

I can see both sides of it.

On one hand, yes it could lead to a regulated and “safer” environment for all parties, but on the other hand it would increase the number of “sex workers” which might be sending the wrong message to kids and lead to all kinds of long term problems with the economy and public health.

Can you imagine a world where sex work is the fastest growing industry and what that might mean in the US?

Not only that, most of the women, not all, that sell p*ssy for a living have extreme psychological issues that were never addressed and come from abusive homes. Can you imagine homes where children are groomed for careers in that field? Foster homes. Adoptions. Legal sex slaves at 18 years old?



I’ve seen the damage prostitution and pimping do to families. My grandfather was a pimp out of LA and my biological/birth mother is the daughter of a prostitute. She’s fukkED mentally and had me at 14 years old.

Trust me, it sounds good in theory, but nah, it’s not something I’d want to see made legal. I’ve worked hard as a father to make sure my daughters value their minds more than their bodies. It’s bad enough out here with the Ice Spices, Cardi Bs, etc.

It being illegal hasn't stopped it. Even police stings haven't stopped it. At least legalization would potentially reduce STD rates.
