What's your secret?

I'm trying to get that way

to be completely honest
i dont have a secret

what sparked it was i had a crazy 3/4 hours one morning and to say the least it was life changing.

the crazy thing about that is i’m actually going to run into the person who caused this “transformation” tomorrow and imma let her know

but anyways

the first 13 days were hard mentally. Like really tough cause of my dreams:to:

wont lie to you

but when i started it in 2023 i went completely cold turkey on ALOT of shyt like sugar/caffeine/junk not just alcohol.:whoo:

and decided to do little exercises and go for walks to kinda make the time go smooth

i got my 90 day chip once. its a cult

if youre religious its fine, you'll do great. but if youre agnostic/atheist you'll have trouble with step #1

i dont think its necessarily a bad thing if it helps. but Bill W was one hell of a hypocrite. as much as he shytted on alcohol that man loved him some LSD... and how do you even enjoy LSD without alcohol?

Yup :francis: in 2010 .

Was a requirement in order for the DUI I got the year before get expunged .

I had two teachers. One of them was an older breh who was chill but fair while the other was some ol faye .

The Ol Faye taught the first half which was more like your typical A.A. Class while the breh taught more of a class on alcohol dependency. If you miss a class , not only you had to make it up but you had to pay extra.

Thankfully , I haven't been back since .

I remember there was a dancer from the Kings in my class trying to flirt with the breh prof so he can pass her quicker .

He called her out in front of the class :mjlol:

Typical light skinned ting was more like a TLR Plat. topic anyway .

The Ol' Faye was a little weird though. I had a retail sales job at the time and she would pull up to observe me like I had a drinking problem :dahell:

bytch, I blew a 0.087 and it was my first and only offense :umad:
I shouldn't have gotten the DUI in the first place.

Looking back , I'm surprised how much self control I had back then .

Thinking about going, but I don't want to make sure it's some cult shyt :whoa:
Yes many meetings and many different ones. Not as someone who drank but as a counselor who often times referred people to meetings, I had to be sure I wasn't recommending or referring people to some bullshyt. Some of them are real legit, some of them are janky.

I'll say at the end of the day, if you find a good group of people to associate with that have similar goals (not drinking) and y'all have positive outlets and activities to do that's what will lead you to success.
