i brought my mother-in-law a comp from walmart once. it lasted for about a year and some change

i dont know why people refuse to build their own pcs. you can literally order all the parts from 1 website. then when it gets there, you just plug colored things into other colored things. use some screws, push a few things and you're done in no time.

Some people just don't want to. I've built plenty of computers for myself and others and now, I just have no desire to since all I use it for is occasionally browsing, watching videos or typing. I dont game on pc, and I use my tablet to get online more than anything. But if op just wants something basic then I don't see the problem in buying from a store.
