Absolutely. Was raised in Jersey City NJ.

Went to college in Maryland, would party all over the DMV and Baltimore. Liked they way they built apts with shopping and everything in vicinity in some of their suburbs.
Finished school worked in NYC for 8 years and lived in JC.

Moved my ass back to MD to the wonderful suburbs of Silver Spring and got a job in DC. Its slightly slower pace down here, a bit cleaner and they pay like NYC if not better. Done picked up 35k more in salary. Plan on picking up another 20-30k+ in the next few years. And may start a small tech firm to scoop contracts. Living a very blessed life.

Not looking back.

If so why did you do it?

Did you regret it?

Do you think it was your best choice?

Did it push you forward in life or hold you back?
Left the country.

College was peanuts, I had no choice in the matter

Not one bit

It wasn't mine but i'm better for it

I wouldn't be where I am without moving so in the end it worked out

Was born in a small, jobless and heroin abound town in Ohio and lived there until I was 19. Went to school with the most dustiest bum nikkas and druggies.:hhh::hhh::hhh:
Never felt like I belonged in my hometown ever.
Moved to Texas and lived there for about a year. It wasn't too bad living there but I was living with my ex and shyt was just crazy.
I live in Pittsburgh now. Bought my house in 2017 so I guess I'm stuck here for now.
Kinda miss that Texas desert weather though. Might move back after I pay off this mortgage in 20 years or so.
This thread reminded me of my HS reunion that is coming up in November. FUKK. :sadcam:

Moved a few times.
Charlotte NC and Gary for actually like picking up and moving. Wasn’t that long and wasn’t by choice but 7 months at a youth reform program in Liberty County near Savannah. And a few more places if you count being in town for more than a few months-Maryland, Detroit, and Alabama. Even crashed at my friends uncle vacant house in Cali for a month str8 one time. Just clearing my head and laying low. I wouldn’t recommend doing it how I did it, clearly that’s the trail of a breh trying to find his way, but I for sure recommend everyone (especially men) pack up and move from their home town, even if it’s just for a year. That shyt is key to your growth in life.

moved to Cali as a teenager.. was risky, but knew the risk i was getting into.. everything worked itself out, tho..

moved back home about 8 yrs ago.. wondered what the hell i was thinking about 2yrs in, and just packed literally a duffle bag.. moved to Asheville, NC and i only knew one person.. few years in, had a whole new career.. after a few years, city started changing not for the better.. so i took my show down the mountain to Winston-Salem.. i fukkin love this place, man.. :wow:

long story short.. i would always suggest moving/change in life.. dont ever get too comfortable, because 9 times outta 10.. you'll end up wishing you did alot of things later on in life.. and, one of the first things you'll regret- is not getting out of your hometown/comfort zone.. you have no idea what the world has waiting for you, unless you get out into the world..
