Anybody ever left their hometown?

theres a Steelers bar off 17 & Edgewood.. but, im a Cowboys fan so you already know how i feel about that place, or any Steelers bar..
Yup. Seems like I change states every 3-5 years. No kids me and my girl like nomads. Both of us from New Orleans moved to Birmingham and Huntsville Alabama. Then to Atlanta for 6 months bc it was trash and now we're in Tampa fl.
I think Tampa is the spot tho. Both of us like it here. The weather, beaches, people and the food is amazing. The jobs are out here too. Found a good paying management job in a week.
The world is huge. So many differences in people and ways of life it's amazing when you live in different places. I recommend everyone move out of their comfort zone. Maybe not as much as us bc it's definitely hard and takes a lot of money up front

Funny thing is, I actually moved back to my hometown (well, one of two towns in which I grew up), but I was away from here for a decade. I lived in a completely different metropolitan area, as well as even another country for a little bit.

Lived in a few different cities chasing a passion & ended up in LA where I've been for a while... my new home...
No regrets... best decision I ever made however I left for different reasons & could see myself having made different decisions if it were for finances, dreams, career, etc...

I mean it's a huge change and homesick is real cause it's like starting over, no friends and your in unfamiliar territory but with time you adapt
But I'm grateful cause I got to see the world and be appreciate the things I do have. I have people who have never left the state of California

I left Nashville last October, went to Chicago for 3 months, then to VA for a month, now I'm in my birthplace. It's been adventurous to say the least.

Yes. My hometown is Winston Salem, NC. I stayed as long as I could, because I really love my hometown and being around family. I even went to college in nearby Greensboro, due to how close it was to Home, but I finally moved away 4 years ago. Moved to Atlanta for work.
Do I regret it? Nah, I don’t. I created a family down here, and I’ve been blessed to work a job that allows me to fly home whenever I miss it too much.
It was my best choice, but I plan on moving back once my seeds move out the crib for school. Told wifey she can either roll with me or stay. It’s her choice, but I’ve got some land back home and I’m gone build my retirement pad on it.
My move has definitely pushed me forward in life. I have been truly blessed.

My mom has lived in the same area for 45 years
Folks don’t leave out here. Get a 9 to 5 and have kids. Know some people who never left the city

Left the " dust bucket" called Lubbock Texas 2 wks outta high school and never looked back....for me personally it was the best thing for me and any time I've been back to visit it looks the exact same as it did in June 1996

The thing is , my hometown is known for having the best deal taco , every del taco besides the OG is completely trashthey really need a Del Taco down here.. them fries
