I got hurt two months ago in the DOC academy up here in NJ. I was 4 weeks in
tore my hamstring. Hopefully I can go back. Starting salary is 40k but with overtime most CO's make more than cops. It's not my dream job, but the overtime is too enticing. One of the instructors told us how he's never made less than 100k

the guard are alot of the times worse than the inmates...n if u a tellin ass nikka....n think u can goto hr n snitch on one of em..
u might as well jus gone n quit...kuz then u gotta watch ya back...they can put a price on ya head n have u fukked literally...
i've seen the shyt...new nikka thinkin he finna come in the system...see the unethical shyt the co's do...runnin n tellin filing complaints n shyt...

My very good friend is a C.O. He make's between 50-75k a year. He works 2 16 hour shifts a week and gets a full paycheck. From everything he's told me the job is pretty easy...not as dangerous as most would think.
He's told me it's not the greatest of jobs but it's far from the worst. I still cant get over he work 2 16 hour shifts a week
