Luckily I got a lot of info from my great aunts family tree on there

@Ol' Otis thanks for making this thread brehbreh. Im finding out about people Ive never heard of , this is crazy im at the beginning of 1900s and found my great great grandparents. wish i can rep you more than once. they aint lettin me rep ya..

Do you feel like that translates into your life now? They said free blacks were more educated and economically stable. Thus passing that knowledge and wealthy down generations. Part of my father side was free and many of them served in the military, their is a lot of people in my family currently In or ex military, it's like it low key got pass down.

Nope, it didn't translate. Although they had a head start, the following generations dropped the ball. My generation is slowly picking up the pieces.

I did learn that my paternal Granddad and his siblings are Griff's. That's when a mulatto (my great grandmother) marries a Black person (my great grandfather). I traced her family to the Revolutionary War. I got to the early 1800s with his family.
