Interesting thread and since it's just vapor rub and biotin then it doesn't seem like too risky of a thing to try. When you say you were taking the biotin, I'm assuming it was just the regular pill form, right?

Also, do you think that applying the menthol, not from Vicks, but from a different brand (or a more natural brand) have the same effect?

Lastly, is it possible that it didn't make any difference whether you used the vapor rub or not? I mean, you did say you were brushing the area upwards of three times a day to stimulate growth.

This is the right answer breh. Started in February, worked wonders for me. Went from sideburns, a patchy goatee and neckbeard...to having that Dave East look...noticed it fitted me more than a full beard

Years ago they said that using rogaine and it's key ingredients would give people sexual side effects and other side effects. Is this the case, or have things changed?

No, it makes sense. The science is that the cooling, tingly sensation you feel from menthol increases blood flow to the area. At the other end of the spectrum, I've also heard of ppl using 'heating' herbs for the same purpose.

I actually just wrote a post about hair loss, brb.

Found it.

I just got all my supplies together to test it out.

Meanwhile, is it true that if you stop taking rogaine, the hair falls out? :lupe:

It's probably something in the vapor rub, probably eucalyptus or peppermint oil that helps circulation to the hair parting. If it's a cooling sensation then it sounds like peppermint possibly so maybe just using natural oils would work too

All you need is a derma roller

And minoxidil

Anything super minty/ cooling. I keep menthol flakes and triple distilled peppermint e.o. on deck for a salve i make (pain relieving).

But peppermint and them, far as I can tell, won't bring follicles back from the dead. At best, they wake up sluggish, but still functional, follicles.

We gon give the safflower and and amla a try bc, a, I got a spot on my edges that ain't never been right, and b, my man got some thinning in the crown. Somebody remind me and I'll let y'all know our results.

Just add some pepper essential oil to your face lotion or beard oil. Wouldn't vapor rub clog up your shyt?

I just put on some shea moisture beard balm and some coconut oil and keep it moving. Make sure to brush it and comb it out from time to time :yeshrug:
