this isnt the first time, that dude from Tulane last year broke his neck(i think) against Tulsa and died briefly on the field, but they brought him back and had to perfrom a tracheotomy on the field.

Craziest thing I'd ever seen.

First time I'd ever seen announcers and sideline reporters pretty much in tears. Even Marcus Allen was tearing up in the studio
Oh yeah I remember that. What ever happened with that dude?

E Dewey spoke on this today at service. Crazy injury from a pretty routine football play. It's hard to see how dangerous this sport can be sometimes because its so fun to play.

RIP

I Know heads up tackling is supposed to keep you safe but i almost never did it that way, i would always hit em with my shoulder and head to the side. That head up jump thru technique they are teaching makes me think only of how easy it is to get stiff armed plus im pretty sure you can hurt your neck doing that.

RIP :to:

My heart goes out to the kid and his family, I got a son not much older than him and even though he is a lineman now, my heart would fall down if my boy died on the field. Life is a risky sport not just football but I'm glad he died doing what he seemed to enjoy.
