What made you want to get into security? I went from a network guy to a security architect and it kinda just fell in my lap.
I'm trying to get the fukk up outta IT though
I was into Networking already in High School, I was doing some junior cisco ish. I always liked it but majored in Mech E. to make my parents happy lol. After a couple projects and internships senior year, I knew it wasn't for me. Put all my high school ish on my resume and got hired quickly lol.
The reason I am going into Security it's because the demand is growing. Every device will soon be connected to the internet.

Transitioning from IT to Journalism. I like IT but I don't have the passion nor drive to continue in this business and see myself becoming bored real fast with it. The money is good but it ain't worth it to stay in a career where I'll be unhappy and I've been a writer for as long as I've had a pen in hand or a computer in front of me. As far as I see it, IT was just a stepping stone in helping me realize what I really wanted to do.
