Anybody here has chosen to be right with God?

Quitting vices and lust. A good old friend of mine, I chilled with him two days ago. We usually smoke and with others present.

It was just us and he told me he quit it all. Decided to live right. Ever since he has been reading the Bible and quit all vices.

He's lost many friends due to dropping vices and has vivid crazy dreams where he's constantly being tempted to go back to that lifestyle.

He told me he has never been happier. He said look breh I'm not perfect, I still have thoughts. We joked how he chose the hardest season with all these girls barely wearing nothing.

He's talking to a girl currently, he said he just gonna look for a good woman. I told him that's gonna be hardest due to our age group and how girls always got mad options.

So far he said he's been on this path for over a month.

Lol yes we're sinners, so it's natural to slip up. Theirs a difference between discipline and being a lukewarm Christian 6 days of the week.

I'm not perfect, I am not on my friend's level. I just started. We must all be honest with ourselves and others.

Bible has been translated I believe from Hebrew to Greek, etc. Only time it's altered is orally from cherry picking hypocrites and deceiving preachers/pastors.I would even argue other denominations too.

I have asked these questions myself too.
My friend even gave me a better in depth answer.

Try to seek God yourself with prayer and patience. Seriously seek it and I'm sure he will answer in some form breh.
