Title say it all ... I was telling my daughter last night about Ultra SSF4 and she was like how come I didnt see any commercials for it. I said i dont know. then she was like , oh mayber its on that channel that shows those. And I was like that channel gone ....

Then I got to thinking ... DAMN i miss Tech TV and Screensavers .. G4 was cool too in the beginning (right after the merger) When Kevin left Screensavers and then when they renamed it Attack of the Show it was downhill

The only two television channels/blocks I get nostalgic for are TechTV and OG Toonami.

But TechTV still lives on, though.

In this day & age of Youtube, all you have to do is subscribe to a bunch of Tech YouTube channels & you're good.

This channel should've been huge. All the tvs, consoles, tablets, smartphones, apps.. all the way down to movies, games, and tv shows. They should've covered it all. Along with Silicon Valley and Hollywood having their back and dying to showcase their latest products with them, that channel should've been a goldmine and one of the top channels on cable

Sadly Nielsen ratings and the merger killed it

I remember reading around the time the merger happened that the ratings for either G4 or Tech TV (can't remember which one) got lower ratings than fukking QVC

Man remember when i first discovered TechTv, It was the E3 where they were showing Super Mario Sunshine.

I thought i had died and went to heaven, a tv channel covering video games, and technology?!?

Still remember cinematech, extended play, screen savers, and call for help.

Nah but I miss the fukk out of old G4 man, I remember summer of like 4th/5th grade, I stayed at home, played video games and watched G4 all fukking day man. Cheat, Portal, X-Play, those little documentaries, all the gameplay footage shyt was so fukking dope man
