I sell things online, so 1-3 times a week I schedule a pickup at my house.
Its normally between 5-15 large boxes (think home depot moving boxes).

You should see the look on some of these nikkas face when they pull up in front of my place...they always looking like this :bryan:

Whats the big deal? isnt it all dropping boxes off and picking boxes up?

Right now is by far the worst time for a UPS driver, there trucks be full to the top and they are damn near guaranteed to go from 9-7 and u having big ass boxes only adds to the headache

working preload I can tell you that we can stuff close to 300 boxes in each truck. That work alone is hard in itself. I can't imagine being the driver who has to sort through all those packages and then finding space to store more packages. Working for UPS is no hoe

Thats it? We're u loading trucks that made mall stops?

When I worked preload, my cars would average round 850-900 pieces

Nope. I'm pretty sure the trucks we load are residential. But it's only my 2nd day on the job. The 300 is just an estimation but so far every truck we've loaded has surpassed that amount.

for the work you do I don't think they pay good enough. it's starts out at 8.5 with periodic .25 raises. I make 13 at my other job and only been 3 years. I started off making 11 and I don't work half as hard as I do at UPS. I respect anyone for doing that work because it isn't easy but in all honesty it isn't worth it.

yea that's one thing I do like. It teaches you how to be a hard worker. Your only down time is a 10min break and then its back to lifting and loading an endless horde of boxes.
