Honestly, I was pretty pissed when the doctor was giving me the prognosis so I can't really say I was paying full attention. I believe the boot will be on for 8 weeks max. From the sound of things I won't need surgery.

I had a couple of friends completely tear their Achilles heel. One friend was on a wheel chair for a while. The other gained like 35 pounds during recovery.

Both brothers have never been the same.

That's what I'm worried about on the low. Can't really work out for like 2 months

Yeah I've thought about that. From what I've read and what he told me surgery depends on how bad the tear is.

You got me shook now though :hamster:

my wife tore hers three weeks ago to the day doing gymnstics at the gym with my kids :snoop:

the same day, I told her that that wasn't a good idea, but she did anyways, and this was the result. another funny thing is she tried to get me to come out there and do flips with the kids. and I said hell no cuz for my :old: ass, the days of doing those kinda sports are over. I'm an avid runner, but I don't do shyt where I'm doing cutting and quick acceleration and what not.

so come to find out it's a complete rupture. thought it was initially a strain cuz she was able to walk around for a week after it til the surgery (which was 2 weeks ago now), but it was shredded.

which leaves me here doing damn near EVERYTHING cuz she's hobbled up in the bed for the most part with almost no mobility.

the ONLY saving grace is that it was on the non driving foot, which means she can easily drive a car. (luckily no manual transmission) :whew:

I'm guessing there'll be another 3 months of this before she's able to walk somewhat normal.

Partially tore my bicep

Didn’t need a cast, just a sling. Never quite healed correctly but didn’t need surgery. Basically have trouble with my elbow because of it...

Very painful btw... almost couldn’t use my arm for awhile

Also had multiple hairline fractures in both tibias... very painful, had rods installed all the way down in both legs from knee to ankle. Took me out of commission for damn near half a year. Still never healed correctly and I still have trouble with those as well. Sometimes it’s tough to walk. Only remedy would be to sit in a wheelchair for about 6 months

Been through rehab for all of my injuries like 3 times. Damn near in pain daily but I’m used to it
