Anybody know how to get rid of waves?

Had crazy waves a couple years in hs,after I got tired of them I just stopped wearing my du rag to bed and grew my hair out extra long,that did the trick,at least for me..

I knew somebody was gonna comment on the toilet paper.
The picture was taken in the bathroom. My toilet paper rack broke, so I just stack the rolls up on the rack where I keep my towels.
It's that college struggle breh. Ain't nobody helpin' me.
