How does one even get in that field? What credentials would you need? It’s ass I wouldnt recommend it unless you work for an agency.

None it’s mostly self teaching some nikkas got to school but I wouldn’t recommend it. It’s just like being a rapper but you have hard skills. Just find a artist you believe in and try to get them sucess. How does one even get in that field? What credentials would you need?
I think it's all based on results. You can be a smooth talker all you want, but if that isn't translating into getting an artist booked at the venues he's trying to get to, or increasing his exposure... they gonna bounceBut sometimes if you do a good job and you have a great mouthpiece then other artists will see what you can do and will want you to manage them as well. Managers can come up too. You just got to play it right

School can get you connects tho but ion think it’s worth it.
Moving to a major city (LA, ATL, NY, MIA) helps too.
Just ask one of your lil nikkas that make music that got talent can you manage them n boom you a manager
ASK A LAWYER TO DRAW UP YOUR CONTRACT

shyts type easy to get them poppin these days but keepin them is harder. Just do publicity stunts and the labels start knocking almost immediately
I was gonna say the same thing. Anybody can be a manager... literally![]()
I get that, but if it's not blood... like your brother or cousin/nephew or something... and they really trying to do music FULL time, it's a lot to ask of someone to manage their career and get them good looks.
You managing everybody without worrying about getting paid?
Are you managing cats or just giving them advice/kicking knowledge?

I did say to be good at the job which means putting in the work towards being a good manager. The good mouthpiece is not the main factor but it helps out a lot. And I'm not talking con man mouthpiece. I'm talking about going throughout the room introducing yourself and meeting new people mouthpiece.I think it's all based on results. Yea definitely. Even in businesses it's widely advised to not hire/work with friends because theirs going to be turbelance, it's business at the end of the day and sometimes friendships get jeopardized becuse of disagreements. In my case I feel the problem would be creative control because even though this is like my closest friend for years. We differ in taste and what we deem cool etc..I know someone who's going through this right now. You think you'd do a better job if you didn't have a personal relationship with the artist? I understand why business and friendship don't always work
