I'll break this down in a few steps.

1) first just completely rest your lower body till it goes away. For me with tendinitis when I could wake up without pain was huge.

2) doing the corrective stretches and excercises is next. Stretch your hip flexors and strengthen your glutes and hamstrings.

3) honestly deep squats for me has helped but that has only been possible by improving my hip & ankle mobility. And flexibility in my hamstrings. REMEMBER LISTEN TO YOUR BODY. DONT FORCE ANYTHING.
If you got any specific questions you can pm me.

You ain't in no real knee pain if you can do squats breh :wow:

I've tried squatting 3 times my entire life (heard it helped as well) and every time I squat I can barely get back up. By the 3rd squat my knee gives out. I can barely squat my body wait for 10 reps before my knee is in pain :wow:

Wassup Coli anybody on here that has chronic knee pain or suffered a major knee injury?

I have extreme patella tendinitis in both of my knees from high school playing basketball. The pain been going on for about 3 years .

So anybody have knee problems? If so did it ever heal and what did you do to fix your knees?

Responses would be appreciated
I torn my left ACL.
I do barbell squats without supports and without pain right now.
I hurt my knees last fall playing ice hockey, no direct impacts, but I strained something. I couldn't even barbell squat with 65 lbs.
I went to physical therapy and later got an MRI that showed no injuries to my knees.
Physical therapy got rid of pain in my right knee. Left knee still had lingering pain. The orthopedic surgeon injected an anti-inflammatory into the fat pad of my knee, that hurt like crazy, but it worked.

What to do in your case?
1. Do you wear any type of knee supports or patellar tendon strap under your knee cap now? Do they work? If not, that is worth trying.
2. Try foam rolling your leg muscles using a foam roller. Kneel down on top of foam roller and roll your shins back and forth over the roller. Put your body sideways on the foam roller so the side of your thigh is on the roller. Roll up and down the side of your thigh to stretch your IT band. If you don't feel pain, then it's not worth doing. If you feel pain, then it is working and keep on doing it.
3. See an orthopaedic surgeon who may refer you to a physical therapist or may conduct other tests.
