Hell no it was Basicly minimum wage. I believe it was about $80 a day was the pay.
The carrot they dangled over your head was the sooner you start the sooner you finish.
As long your fast then you can go home early...

Its what the managers use at the warehouse to determine if a person is goona be done before a set time.
If the person falls behind then they call rescue out to you. Basicly another driver who takes some packages from you to help you out
I work part time for a small Black owned company that contracts with Amazon. Amazon do be in their employee's shyt but it doesn't seem as bad as people say. I have a friend who works at the UPS warehouse and that shyt is HARD work. She hasn't even been there 90 days and already got injured 3 times. One being a super serious infection from the filth of one of the trucks.
The environment in the Amazon warehpuse is actually very laid back and efficient. But again, I don't work for Amazon just the contactor. I'm a trainer and my job is super easy. Turn over is super high because people are lazy not because the work is hard. If you come to work and just do your job you can get promoted quick. A lot of young guys have decent positions there. The number 1 reason people get fired is for stealing.
I don't plan to be here long but if I did I have no doubt I could get a job with Amazon and be promoted quickly or even start my own contracting business. I guess it depends on the warehouse but I travel to 3 in my area and they all are run by young people and are super easy going.

Damn that's low. Starting pay here at the warehouse is double that.

I drive for Amazon and it's pretty cool. Just make sure you try to get in house. If not make sure the contractor you are working for is legit. It's some scum bags out there.
Our you can get your own truck and work for yourself. The deadline is annoying but just make sure you get started early enough. I don't fukk with the warehouse though.
