Anybody own chickens?

I’m considering buying a couple egg laying hens, and using, and potentially selling the eggs as a hustle.

Does anyone have any chicken raising experience?

I can build a coup in by backyard, but I’m concerned about rac00ns terrorizing them at night.

Check with your city ordinance first. My great aunt had chickens in the corktown area of Detroit and the city made her kill everyone of them. The police on their beat used to get eggs from her every day until someone filed a complaint SMH.

A couple I know has a gang of chickens. They keep them in a little chicken wire coop with a heat lamp in the winter.

Yeah breh, she said she couldn't even eat them and just gave them away once she had them processed.

She had a thing for birds too. Used to have an African grey parrots that would Muthafuka you to death if you left the door open.
