I think funny people was a very good film and the best sandler has been since well billy/happy/punch drunk

I would never watch this again, but it was worth a watch. Cant complain about Appatow's kids cause the older one is actually very good. Seigel and that asian broad shouldnt of been in the film at all

Interesting to see where Appatow goes from here he isnt gonna be able to do whatever he wants after loosing $ on this and he also will need somethin fresh

heigel talked shyt about knocked up so she's not gonna be working with apatow anytime soon. matter of fact.. is she working at all these days? she fukked up.

apatow is not in any danger at all though. this movie has already made its money back. he makes relatively cheap movies. he comes with a fairly loyal fan base and he has that group (rogen/franco/rudd/siegel/etc) willing to work with him no problems. the majority of comedy in hollywood is coming from that group right now.

He's drifting too far into dramedy I think . I like the movie but its not that funny and the lack of a Seth Rogen cameo Ehh I know heighl hated on apatow but at least have Rogen so she's out the country on assignment or something .

It's like funny people just more towards the dramatic side . It had some nice dramatic beats Rudd and Mann both did great jobs . It's just his least funny movie

After reading the reviews of this movie and given his his last couple of movies, I don't think Apatow is that great of a director. He really hasn't done anything great since Knocked Up and before that it was just The 40 Year Virgin.

I thought Funny People was ok but it falls flat and is very bland for the most part. It's nowhere near Knocked Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin.

I agree. both of the daughters were funny. so was albert brooks. but this movie was unfocused as hell and kinda all over the place. kinda like funny people.

funny people would have been dope if they would have left the stupid love story aspect out of it. I hated that twist in the plot.

judd apatow is kinda overrated as a director. most of his films I enjoy are the ones where he's not a creative force behind it and simply a producer.

I thought it was funny despite being very derivative and familiar. It ultimately goes no where plot wise.. but I enjoyed it for the most part. Apatow's kids didn't annoy me like most people..
