Listening to records. I want to start buying vinyls but I wanna get a quality player first.

i dont really know much about turntables that came out recently but i like my numark ttx. ive had it since 2004. i bought two though.
i think when it comes to just listening to records it has more to do with the needle than the player.
so for the time being get a cheap player with a good needle.
i could be wrong though.
