“Aye moe, that jont was tight asf! You need to give it a listen”. Classic DMV shyt As far as I can remember, we’ve been saying “tight” since the mid 90’s.

I usually say tight when I’m with my friends who are around my age and went to high school with….But when I’m around my friends I went to college down the line with (most of them are in their early 20s), sometimes I’ll say “tuff” or “hard” instead.

The word “tight” has different meanings regionally.

when was in the Midwest as a teen Tight meant “cool” or “Dope”along the lines of those words. IE: “That new so and so song is so TIGHT”

when I moved to NYC for school I found out that “Tight” there meant “MAD” or “ Angry” ie: “He ducking paying me my money and I’m getting TIGHT”
