Nah, it's shyt, straight up. Use Pimsleur.

None of it prepares you for the hardest part about learning Spanish though, understanding them mother fukkers in person. They speak so quick. I'm out in Spain now for like 7 more months and I've given up trying to understand Spanish people.

Es muy dificil para me porque el espanyol personas hablamos muy rapido.

I can write and read quite well, speaking less so and listening even less.

I think that should say "las personas español hablan"

I notice in other languages the noun comes before the adjective. I speak Kreyol and it's the same way. We don't literally say "spanish people" we say "moun ponyol" or literally "people spanish"
There are exceptions to that though like rice and beans is said in the same format arroz con habichuelas.

Ahh shyt yeah you right. I know the el wasn't right. I still write Spanish down as I would say it in English so its always fukked.

word I do that sometimes. I always try to remember if I'm speaking plurally then the word should end with a S and begin Los/Las ______s. La persona means person but las personas means people.

no, lo estudio cuando a trabajo o a veces en casa. Yo nunca fui a escuela para eso.

Lol before I typed that last sentence I checked it on google translate after I said it in my head and it came out exactly right.

You can say...... La gente espanola habla espanol, las personas espanolas hablan espanol or se hablan el espanol. All of these are acceptable.

It's easy too, just listen to it whenever.

Another one is one by someone called Michael Thomas. His tapes are him kinda teaching two people Spanish. They are beginners too so you get to hear their responses to questions and him correcting them, as you would in a real life setting.

Rosetta Stone is good for learning words but not so much in actually becoming proficient in a language. FSI is much better in that regard

Reminder link: uz-translations.net I got all my Rosetta Stone and other programs off here. If the link is dead, click the "dead link" button and/or post "reup?" All free, been on there a few years.

Oh now y'all are showing off..

I was just about to make a thread asking about this. I've been looking into learning spanish (latin america) but that shyt is expensive as hell. Anyone know where to get it cheap?

I got the torrents and have been using it all week.

About to start on this Livemocha.com, it seems pretty cool.
