My first 4 jobs were dishwashers. The worst one was when I was 19 I worked at a buffet:francis:

Every Saturday and Sunday morning I had to clean the bathrooms. Yall have not seen a fukked up bathroom until you've seen a woman's bathroom at a buffet

depending on the hourly pay, its terrible if its a busy restaurant :to:
dont settle for that job.
only take it if you're in dire needs and cant get another job.
some kitchens will promote you from the dishpit to the kitchen line. ask them if they do that before you take that job
Alright I'll check, the place seems OK to work at and my last job for getting $12 an hour, although we got bonuses and free flight benefits, it was too complicated for the pay

i worked in the kitchen for quite some time, it's very hard work but honest. nothing you should do forever, unless you become a headchef and even that should be well thought about. i prefer this kind of work to being in an office though.

In high school, senior year, i worked in the kitchen at chuck e cheese..cook/dishwasher/etc..when it was slow it was really chill...i would be able to start cleaning up early and be done in the kitchen within 15 mins of closing..when it was busy I would be in that kitchen until midnight cleaning up..the one thing i dont miss about working in the kitchen: smelling like food. Every shift smelling like gotdamn food. I was a heavy cologne user during that period after my best friend at the time told me that I smelled like pizza one time. This was like 18 hours after I finished my shift and showered...i had no work clothes on either. That shyt was unacceptable lol.

Moving up in the kitchen would mean i became a supervisor which I never did. At first it was I worked with somebody to close the kitchen when I then moved up to being able to close the kitchen by myself and use certain machinery. The only 2 things I wasn't allowed to do was use the big mixer for the dough and dispense or touch any the beer/wine for the taps. I had to be 21 and up to do that. I knew I became important in the kitchem .when I wasn't called on to do "chuck e." for the kids birthday parties. That's how they broke in the rookies lol
