Ive never heard anyone EVER talk about this Show. Why is it On? Its terrible. Bunch of old Dudes talking about nothing, just Babbling. And Mike Lupica is the worst. Hes always whining. Does anyone watch this show?

When dikk Schapp was alive, the show was great. Schaap was a real journalist.

Yeah, i think everyone knows espn is terrible. From skip and screaming a to sportcenter anchors trying To Be Cool. Ive just never heard anyone Talk about this how. Maybe my hatred for mike lupica has something to Do With it but ive never been able to watch this Show, even when ESPN was good

Lupica in the early days was just a snarky b*stard that people hated in the Tri-State area (I'd assume). Not until broadcasters starting trying to make themselves bigger than the event/story did sports "journalism" & bloggers started taking over did it all become wack to me. I mean when Wiley would say something, it was a purpose behind it and me being a youngin, I even understood the point he was trying to get people to hear/discuss/ponder. Now these cats just do it for shock value and one upsmanship. Look at someone like Greg Doyell. That guy goes beyond antagonizing. Will not be surprised when the day comes somone smacks his kufi off his head
That show is good, but it gets buried on Sundays (when I'm either getting ready for or leaving for church) so most DON'T see it...
That AND OTL, with Bob Ley, I like REAL stories about things that have to do with sports and the world around them. They'd rather LOUD and CHICKENHEADISH argument shows and hosts that think they're the "cool" kids at the table

Came in here basically to talk about all this. It used to be one of my favorite non sporting event shows on ESPN and I couldn't wait for OTL to go off to see what Schapp, Wiley, and the crew had to say about that weeks sports happenings. Never liked Lupica cause he always seemed like he wanted to out talk folks and get on his soapbox, but it was a damn good show. I still watch and like it, but I don't go out of my way to catch it now. It's still better and more authentic than the fabricated debate shows they're pushing now.

They used to have that fat DBag from Philly too, Bill Conlin I think. He was a fat fukk, but I dug him because he wasnt over the top like the clowns on Sportscenter now.
