and my mum has bought 3 properties in the last 10 years, so me and my brother will split about 1 million dollars of property, when she does, hopefully no fine soon.

And she was a single parent bar maid when I grew up, she went back to night school as soon as we were old enough and dug her way out of the shot, don't let anyone tell you it can't be done.

It is but you gotta discuss it one day. Especially when you have siblings. I remember when my parents talked to us.

I had the :merchant: the whole time.

My folks did it real non-chalant.

I am the executor of the will. My sister has the authority to "pull the plug" if they're on life support. That was about it.

My mom passed 2 years ago, left us cash and property back home. My brother is back home is older than me and the executor....

You learn a lot about a person when it comes to money. That nikka doesn't wanna sell my moms house cuz he living in it (paid off). So we came to an agreement that what it would fetch on the market for rent, he could pay me 1/2 each month. Since other 1/2 would go to him if we rented. He owes me like 5 months rent now...

She left me 7 acres of property (she had 14) and thats tied up legally, because of some other bullshyt. That nikka aint tryna pay me shyt. Money really fukks up families.

I wish when she was sick she just sold everything and left me a lumpsum of cash. fukk a will, and dividing shyt. The cash she did leave, most went to her funeral, and the other we used to fix up the house to sell it (BEFORE he agreed to keep it for himself and pay me rent). So yeah I got fukked all around on that shyt. I don't even talk to my brother anymore, if he comes clean and decides to pay me off, then no cold shoulder from me, I aint holding no grudges. BUT right now... we aint even talking

Thats what I will do for my kids. Sell everything and give it to them when I get sick(old)... and keep a lil bit for medical expenses.

My stepdad passed 2 1/2 years ago. His father had an LLC and my brother and I were both 1% owners. We got our money shortly after he passed. It's hard to think about sometimes. The only reason I was able to put a down payment on a house was because I lost a family member.

As for my dad and stepmom I know they'll be leaving me something. Not sure what exactly or how much. I try not to think about it. Family>money.

Me and my brother split the house. Which I think annoys my dad if it was up to him he would sell that shyt sit back a chill for the rest of his days with the money they get from the house. But I think my mom wants something for me and my brother to have so she doesn't really want to do it. My dad probably goes to work everyday like:pacspit: fukk my children.

Any cousins down there?

Yeah but I only really know the ones on my mom's side.

I'm not really familiar with the family on my dad's side, save for a few people. And my uncles was on my dad's side.

But I'ma have to check on that though.

A million dollar insurance policy :leon:
House in runaway bay Jamaica
Whatever in their savings mutual funds etx

Ill be ok when that time comes :to:

Yeah my Pops gots an insurance policy as well. It's weird we're essentially first generation in America, so him and his siblings are the first to build any type of wealth. When he told me how he wants to leave us the house and insurance policy, it really got me thinking that this is kinda of how families can build generational wealth. If I do my part and take out a insurance policy, leave a house behind, I can see my future grand kids living very well.

I agree but my bro acting like :duck: and tryna :eat:. nikka threw me in the bushes :birdman:

That money like 150k-200k could go to use on my kids, especially since I went thru my divorce

Yeah I guess what I meant is family alive before inheritance>money.

Money does screw up family. My stepdad's father screwed my mom out of her money that was supposed to be my mom's and stepdad's inheritance. My brother and I got our money still. She tried to fight it in court, but it's hard to fight someone with money in court when you have very little. I'm pretty sure he lied and forged my stepdad's name on paperwork so she didn't have much to go on other then her word.

Since I got my inheritance my relationship with my mom has soured. She feels like the money I got should be partly hers. I gave her some money that I owed her, but I told her I couldn't just keep giving her money. She had money in the past and blew through it.

I can see why people who win the lottery come into money problems with their families. Every one wants a picece. Inheritance is a blessing and a curse at the same time.
