No, I don't think so. Plenty of people listen to negative music and don't do those negative things (myself included). I listen to the most negative music possible actually. I love negativity. But I don't go out and kill people, sell drugs, worship satan or anything like that.
I think I'm attracted to that music because I'm a negative person. So I think it goes the other way around. I'm attracted to the negativity, the music isn't making me negative.
Now, I do think there probably should be an age limit on some of this shyt though. Impressionable young minds and all. But then again, the shyt I listened to when I was young didn't make me go out and kill people either.
I know I'm just one person, but most people aren't criminals going out there and killing people, and most people like music that has some negativity in it.
I think it's something within the individual that makes them follow what the music tells them to do.

Let's name names on we fell is apart of the govt. plot as to brainwash the masses.
Wu-Tang could clearly be looked at as a Wolf in sheeps clothing, much like an Alex Jones, thinking they on some higher level of consciousness,but in reality they back pockets is getting lined up heavy.
C'mon nikka, you don't think Uncle Sam wouldn't just stop at 2 Chains, Chief Keef, Kanye West and Nicki Minaji would you? Why not grab as many people as possible, rope the ones who want to break away with a Lupe Fiasco, Immortal Technique and other "conscious" artist.
But then again we can look at the whole drug culture. Like Molly. Would that be as popular if it wasn't advertised in the music? Or is it the other way around again. Is the music just a reflection of people doing more drugs?

Speaking as someone who lived in his 20's in the 2000's, Molly or X as we old folks called it, was used pretty liberally if you were in to the club scene...I know nikkas started fukking with Molly around 05/06 from my perspective. Not far off honestly, look at how long nikkas was doing lean?
