Anyone agree that music have been used just as a tool of brainwashing?

Probably one of the saddest things in the world.

I remember reading a thread on reddit about what technology we had that would impress an advanced alien species if they were to visit. One of the highly voted answers was, and I believe it to be the answer, is music.

We all know if music were just left to artists, and the business/political end were to be taken out, it'd look a lot different. It'd reflect how it's supposed to look.

I'm very much aware, just a shame that plenty of them aren't more popular.

I also have to say, that the artists involved in the mainstream are some of the most talented musicians in the world, it's why they're there in the first place. I just think their talents are being outright wasted/being used for the worst in some cases. Some of the stories that I've heard some of those musicians/engineers do is insane.

It is brainwashing, but I don't see it as any worse than movies or tv. It's just one of the many tools that pick at your subconcious. You can listen to a violent song and you can watch an even more violent movie.....but that's not going to make you do it in real life.

If that were the case then 90's kids like myself would all be in prison after growing up listening and watching the shyt that's been put in our heads. But....I've never even been to jail.

The worst brainwashing is your parents. If you have bad parents/family members, you're going to grow up copying their bad behavior most likely.

And let's not leave out the fact that some people are just FUKKED UP...... brainwashed or not. Just flat out no hope period.

Yea, take molly and lean for example. Aint much people outside of the south was sipping lean, but now everybody be sipping since it spread liek wild fire. Mollies too, the average person aint know what molly was. It wasnt a X pill, it was a more clean high and quicker roll. "Popped a molly im sweating whoo" probably got more college students to try it than if it wasnt in a big song. Pimp C, 2 Pac, MLK, Malcolm X, JFK etc...
