Anyone Been Summoned for Jury Duty?

Yup, several times. Chosen once. It was a drug case that lasted a day and a half. Charges were something about intent to distribute or whatever. We found him not guilty. First and only time I saw coke up close. Truly thought it was more granular but it's literally powder.


Fun Fact: My mom uses the "I'm a christian who am I to judge" spiel during voir dire to prevent being selected and it works every time. Lmaooooo

Yo matter of fact last week I got a letter in the mail telling me to complete and return the form or finish it online; not to participate in an upcoming jury but for the possible future that shyt reminded me of Martin & Cole in that jury duty episode.

I’m tellin y’all ... if you’re black and you get called and the defendant is black... if you get called to be questioned by the attorneys , you should try to NOT to be excused . I’m telling you , unless you’re in a HEAVILY black populated country, the shortage of black people , especially black men is ALARMING .

Just attended for the first time today. It really felt like waiting in an airport lounge for a delayed flight. My panel wasn't called, so I just stayed put and read. After the lunch break, they made an announcement that the defendant took a plea deal and we fulfilled our jury duty and could go home

I’ve never been able to actually sit in on a case.

First one was in college. I was dismissed cuz I knew the lawyer.

The second was someone that caught a body. Second day we were all dismissed cuz dude admitted he killed the person.
