I have always hated traditional Thanksgiving food for the most part growing up...so I try new recipes every year...

Any ideas?

Ill probably make the mashed potatoes which just takes boiling water and ill make the pie which means ill put the giant eagle bought pie in the oven. Mom does the rest of the cooking.

don't know what type of vegetarian you are (if you consume dairy or not), but for a departure from the standard mashed potato recipe you can do a cauliflower puree w with roasted garlic, heavy cream and butter (or sub out some kinda soy variation).
