Anyone created a LLC for personal business?

Nah just was asking on points of view. Typical price range was from $300 - $1000 based on youtube videos. Was just asking if anyone had pointers.

Filling out online forms aint that hard breh. Just asking if anyone did it and if they did, did they do it solo, as a partnership with people, etc.

There is a lot information on the net. You can do either DBA or LLC. You can go to your state's government site and get information on setting up either one. A DBA is as simple as going to the courthouse and filling it out. An LLC takes more information. Legal zoom can help with that, but you can save money doing it yourself.

My company GMOGMedia.tv is an LLC i registered with Sungiz and my non-profit organization.

Also places like legalzoom.com have packages for applying for LLC's and non-profits but I never tried it.

Ok ... after the LLC is set up, anyone opened Business Credit accounts?

Been doing this import export to USA and Caribbean and I don't want to keep using my personal credit lines.

I'd recommend registering your LLC in a tax haven like Wyoming, New Mexico, or Delaware. You can do this over the internet.

You also need to apply for a EIN (which is like a social security number for a corporation) on the IRS website.

Once you have all of that you should open a corporation bank account along with a merchant account (so that you can accept credit card payments).

I did mine in about 25 min. Its extremely simple and with the state and fed fees it cost me under 200 bucks. It was 2 or 3 years ago so I cant remember the process or price exactly, but I do remember it was simple and a lot cheaper than what i thought.

I went classic and bout a "for dummies" book. It took me through everything in laymens terms. Once you get started its easy

you can also do a DBA thru your local papers classified.. it's super cheap, and easy to do..

LLCs can be a bit more.. if you don't mind me asking, what kind of business are you starting..?
