Like why can't they just say the Royal Rumble? Seems like they just started this in the last 5 years or so. For some reason, it's really annoying to me.

Anyone else annoyed by the term "Royal Rumble match"

Just say someone is competing IN the Royal Rumble as opposed to AT the Royal Rumble.
I'm satisfied with my current level of effort.

Like you hear 'Royal Rumble match' and it makes you frown your face up?
They say 'match' and you let out a sigh about it?
They neglect to just call it the Royal Rumble and it stops you in your tracks and momentarily perturbs you?

FR FR, yes. Each time they say it something in my head says "that sounds weird. Why are they saying that!"
Also, to me, the Royal Rumble is first and foremost a match and secondly a PPV. Thus, instead of adding match to distinguish the match, I would prefer if they added the world PPV when talking about non RR matches.
So, "Ambrose v. Owens at the RR PPV"
