It's gotten so bad online that I've started flagging them for being repetitive, all that happens is that I get ads for other sportsbooks that I've never heard of. :beli:

And tv wise, forget about watching an actual game or a pregame show. It's the same ones running on a damn loop. :why:

I bet on sports once in a while and enjoy doing so, but I am sick to death of being blasted non stop with these fukking ads. Also, sprinkle in all of the ads for these centralized celebrity sponsored crypto exchanges too on top of the corporate sportsbooks. Yeah, they all really want us to get rich... good looking out. Wonder how many dollars Larry David got paid to call people stupid for not converting their dollars to crypto. These sportsbook ads got kids thinking it's easy to hit a 10-way lottery style parlay never the less a 2-way :russ:

This country always been a glorified Casino, but wow...what a future. Wonder how many other ways they can come up with to try and tap our pockets. People aren't tapped enough and surely we don't have enough shiny distracting things dangled in front of our faces all day.

How else are they going to recoup their money? Some of the bonuses they offered at the beginning were crazy. I ate, now I’m good lol

I heard a few of the sportsbooks upon launch in NY weren't allowing people to cash out winnings in full, if they were won from free play / sign-up bonus money. If you got a free play, won off of it, cashed out, and deleted the app - you won. You beat them. Most people come back, again and again and again, and lose more than they win. Usually within hours of using that free play.

The straight ads blasted everywhere probably aren't anywhere as affective for bringing aboard young, new, novice bettors compared to the endless amounts of screenshots showing winning parlay tickets on social media. I suspect some of the "gambling influencer" accounts on twitter and tik tok that post plays, winning tickets, etc, are directly controlled by the sportsbooks themselves (even if they didn't start out that way)
