I maintain my faith because it has a highly beneficial effect on my life. The standards and principles within the Bible have cultivated me to be a much better individual than I would have been otherwise. Acknowledging God gives me much more peace and soundness of mind Being a follower of Jesus has had a powerful effect on my life.

I mean, if you feel like you can't live an optimal life without the rules of a higher entity that you can't prove or don't know exists, that is fine. Personally I'd find it personally pathetic if I needed made up Gods to ensure I acted morally.

And it isn't a 'powerful argument', it doesn't prove the existence of anything, nor answer the questions of free will and personal responsibility that arise from the Abrahamic God.
