Anyone else don't care for Reigns?

He's fine, but he's not ready. There's nowhere to go for him if he gets the title. It will destroy him, because he'll be exposed. Give him the IC strap, sure.

This is why you need the IC title to matter. They could put the IC strap on Reigns and still have him feuding on and off with the main eventers and going over a few like Orton, but the belt means dikk and he's being catapulted into a spot that he's not ready for. I don't think anyone but a handful of guys have ever been as over as Goldberg was in the late to mid 90s (and I'm talking a handful..maybe Austin, Rock, and Hogan max) But as over as he was, even Goldberg held the US Title before he got close to the big one.

If they cared any about the mid-card, the IC strap would be on a guy who had held it for a year or so and came damn close to beating a few big time players, if not pinning a couple. Guy could have even challenged Takers streak and came up short, but whomever that person may have been could have put Reigns over huge at the upcoming Wrestlemania and given him a title reign, without exposing him to the extent that he would be exposed if he gets the world title anytime soon. Imagine Reigns going over a guy in a 2 out of 3 falls match for the IC title, winning the match 2-0 against someone who pushed Taker to the limit and went over big time names such as Orton or HHH.

Putting him at the absolute PEAK of that mid-card as the face of it and having him stick his head in the main event scene every now and then would have given him plenty of time to feud with guys like Del Rio, Cesaro, Sheamus, ect and hone his promo game and ring work, without haltering any of his momentum.

I'm pulling for Reigns either way and if this actually blow up in his face, it's really not his fault. The 'E has its back against the wall now because they haven't built any star to take over the mantle when Cena exits and now they're putting the brunt of the weight on Reigns' shoulder because they're panicking, however prepared he is or isn't be damned.

Reigns is cool, he's a fresh face with a nice moveset and a lot of potential.

But he probably isn't ready for the shine he is about to get, but neither were a lot of guys who got that push.

I expect some serious backlash on him. But since they broke off, he has improved his promo game, but where it's gonna come down to for him, is in ring.

The bar is set to high in this era. Main event guys can work. Upper mid guys can work. Fans are used to Daniel Bryan and CM Punk being top guys. It's gonna be a tough road for him to prove himself in ring.

He's cool. I believe reading the wrestling "dirtsheet" websites has dampened my excitement because he'll always be positioned at a higher level than the other two members of the SHIELD. Mainly due to HHH thinking that Reigns has the potential to turn into himself. Ambrose and Rollins are more talented on promos and wrestling. They do seem to treat him with kiddie gloves whereas it's sink or swim with an abundance of other wrestlers. I don't know, I feel like cats are so happy to see someone different, that they don't realize or ignore that it's just a different person presented in the same manner that they hate.

Pretty much this.

He's this eras Goldberg to me:yeshrug:
Reigns isn't really as good as Goldberg ( in ring ) . He at least really made the few moves he did look really special and bad ass while with reigns his move set already getting  also Goldberg gradually moved up the card it wasn't like it was completely obvious he was the future of WCW just another attraction as he started building , if he would of flopped they could of kept it moving . Reigns whole character seems to be he's a slick cool guy and that has potential to backfire .

:comeon:With this revisionist shyt everybody and their mother knew Goldberg was gonna be coming for Hogan once dude started mopping up NWO goons with ease.

We are not gonna sit here and make it look like Goldberg was nice in the ring. No...just no...dude had a great look, entrance and a awesome signature move set. The rocket was strapped to his ass once the streak passed 20-0.

Y'all should be looking and dapping up homeboys post about the IC belt as it's spot on. There is no middle ground these days it's either your champion or your getting jobbed with no direction, it's a shame because in the old days everybody could eat without it looking like anybody was being forcefed. WWF could of and did survive the end of Hulkamania because they had new stars on deck, but honestly WWE is done once Cena goes and it's all the WWEs own fault.

Goldberg was fukking trash all around.

As at least Reigns was apart of some great tag matches, I can't remember a great match Goldberg ever had.

At least Reigns has a decent persona where as Goldberg had nothing but the push.

Reigns is gonna get it extra hard because we all know his push is gonna be green light to the biggest effect, but dude does deserve some slack he's very young in the game and has potential.

For real tho:russ:

Goldberg birthed the spear on a grand scale, shyt when done right add in the right crowd:whew:

The crazy stuff about this Roman hate is he wasn't getting hate when he was in the Shield:mindblown:

Dudes push isn't affecting the other Shield dudes either, they are both in big impact segments each week. I just don't see why there is such separation here when it comes to big Roman:yeshrug:
