Anyone else feel the DualSense was overhyped?

Nah, the dualsense makes me not even wanna pick up the XSX controller. I got ditched 2K for XSX and got it for PS5, the experience is night and day.

I was the opposite...I was playing 2k20 on the X1X with the elite controller before I jumped on to play astro...and I realized just how “inferior” the DS5 felt in hand...it’s definitely an improvement over the DS4 and I’m not saying it isn’t a good controller...but the elite controller is gonna be a hard one to follow up for me

I feel like the controller is the most next gen thing to come out of these new systems.

Shooting a gun in a normal shooter just doesn't feel as good after playing borderlands 3 and having different guns feel unique to shoot.

They could do more with the haptic feedback tho. Different rumble patterns arent gonna cut it when astrobot had my controller feeling like rocks and shyt was really rumbling around in the controller.

Let's hope the build quality is solid. The thumbsticks on the PS4 had awful build quality.

some of yall are trippin this dualsense is fire. its fire in 2k and astroworld. im about to see waht its hittin for in a shooter. there is so much potential once they start developing for/with it.

i was a xbx controller stand which teh reason i had xbx for many years. but this controller bypasses that by miles.

also i really love the weight and size of the controller as somone who as big hands it fits perfectly

the controls felt tighter in miles morales vs. spider-man while doing so and not in a good way...it made swinging feel sluggish at times...I turned off a setting for the controller can’t remember which specifically but I want to now if it was specific to this controller or was it an option on the previous gen game...I’ll add what the setting is soon...lemme check

it was the adaptive triggers under the game settings in the controller section...had to turn them off

The only drawback I have is my left thumb still hits the touchpad like the DS4, but that's more a problem with my hands I will say I have grown more partial to the XB/Nintendo LS/d-pad layout than the symmetrical sticks, but not enough to dock points from Sony. If I could switch the d-pad and LS, it would be my GOAT controller and not even close. The rumble feels way better than 3d rumble, the weight and buttons all feel great, and the triggers are real if non-first/second parties take advantage. I already know the exclusives will be god body

I got the same problem when the pressure is on. I was hoping that wouldn't be an issue since they the increased the size of the controller.

My problem is I use the crease of my thumbs for the analogs, so half of my thumb is always hanging over. The right side isn't a problem since I spend most of the time with my right thumb on the buttons anyway, but that left side always catches me since my thumb rarely leaves LS. Most of the time it isn't an issue since the touchpad doesn't usually fw the flow of games, but when it's stuff like Miles Morales that Neighborhood app was fukkin me up

Edit: I checked my other controllers out real quick and it's only Sony's controllers where I do that. The further away LS controllers I use the tip of my thumb on I'm pretty sure

damn...I am interested to see how it plays on a shooter but I’m not fukking with cold war tho...maybe after a 50% price drop but that ain’t happening no time soon
