so the DS5’s features work with borderlands 3?

I might cop that rather than waste money on cold war

*edit*

I didn’t realize there’s a version of the game specific to the PS5...and it’s only $20

:gladbron:

*edit*

I’ve never played a borderlands game even tho I’m familiar with the series...I saw a commercial for 3 in gamestop a couple times a while ago and was intrigued but didn’t buy it...backlog was too thick...but at $20 plus with PS5 upgrades that apparently take advantage of the DS5, I was curious enough to say fukk it and buy it...also after watching ‘tenet’ last night I wanted a shooter in my game rotation even more lol...I’ll play it later today

I found it to be the exact opposite.

I assumed it was just rumble 2.0 and I played astros playroom and borderlands 3 and it has blown me away.

The trigger resistance is a game changer to me.

To people asking about BL3. Yes they went stupid on the dualsense for it. It is the most I've seen anyone do yet, between it and Astros playroom.

Every gun and movement has a different feel. The controller even lights up whatever element your gun is.

But the triggers are different on every weapon it's dope.

the game started off goofy with all the banter which is why I was always hesitant about playing it since it was obvious that levity is what they were going for...only thing is I find it to be more annoying than “funny” but once the action started the intensity picked up...game is definitely a challenging shooter so far

BL2 was legit funny.

BL3 the writing is horrific and outright terrible unfortunately.

The gameplay and loot is top notch though. Got to play with friends and block out the dialogue lol.

So apparently this thing is a POS destine to break and start drifting. People are also saying you have to pay shipping to get warranty service on it.

I'm not understanding this video.

He says that these are the same joysticks found in the dualshock 4, Nintendo pro, and Xbox elite controller. He never explains why stick drift is only an issue for the DualSense. The video makes it sound like stick drift could be an issue for all three companies.

T is an issue for all three companies, the issue is apparently Sony won't fx or replace for free I think.

Nintendo got a class action lawsuit so now they have to fix joy cons for free

They're covered under warranty, Sony just makes you pay for shipping. It's pretty disingenuous to title a video "this is why ps5 joysticks drifts(and why it will only get worse)" then go on to explain how it's a problem that nearly all modern controllers suffer from.

With that said, these are the same joysticks that's been in every controller since the start of last generation and I've never heard many people complaining about joystick drift. I've had the pro controller and the dualshock 4 since they released and have never dealt with drift.

The joycon controllers has different tech which are infinitely more prone to stick drift, which is why Nintendo got sued for it.

I'd be more worried about the plastic parts used for the new triggers in the DualSense failing over time.

Your right but from what I've heard the only reason why it's more prone to occur on PS5 controller is because I think the PS5 joysticks have less deazones than the pro controller and the series controllers. From what I've read, the PS5 joysticks are more accurate and as such more sensitive to stick drift. I've had people say that shooters feel better on PS5 than on xbox. The Nintendo switch pro controller has the most dead zones apparently.

All three of these console manufacturers need to be held accountable though.

That person also tested older controllers and he's found that old controllers like N64 and Dreamcast never experienced any stick drift. Controllers like the Game Cube controller also had much lower likelihood of having stick drift problems. So there's something wrong with modern controllers

I'd like to see real numbers on the amount of controllers that are actually experiencing this problem. The internet can make it seem like a large amount when it's actually just a small amount of vocal people on the internet. We seen this with the supposedly high defect rates of the ps5 and series x and that turned out to be bullshyt.

As far as older controllers, the dreamcast had high quality joysticks but the N64 controllers were Notorious for the joysticks going limp and flopping around after a decent amount of use. That was probably the WOAT joystick next to the joycon.
