The refund amount goes by the most recent return on file with the IRS so for people who made more in 2020, so much so that perhaps it takes them out of the income limit for receiving a check, it’s better for them to wait and let them use the 2019 returns

In my case I had an adult dependent on my 2019s that might get me an extra $1400 that won’t be on my 2020 return

So after doing my return on TT, they tried to charge me $80 for TT Deluxe and the state return (which I got $2 for), then if I have them take it from my return it's an additional $40 process fee

I may or may not still use them, I just came across the VITA program (a free IRS backed program that has retired CPAs/accounting students volunteer to do your taxes for FREE), but this will definitely be my last year even thinking about using them. @Spence your company is a bunch of goddamn scammers! Don't let me catch you plugging them into tax return threads again or that will be your ass

Just told the tax people to take the fee from the return I dont have time to pay $265 up front right now... take the fee, give me my change...
