Yeah, we don't let the white people in the kitchen. They have to go to SCHOOL to learn to how cook, constantly be remimded to wash their hands and not to kill people with food poisoning and what not. White people and cooking.... Nah... nope... letting the dogs lick the spoons, cats walking on the counter... Nah homeboy...I actually have a large biracial family. A bunch white women, and some white males (including a gay one), attend my grandma and grandfather's yearly family dinner.
I agree with what you're saying though. I just am not passing up that dressing, potato salad, and red velvet cake.
Why are you assmuming people are spending their savings?Yes, I know that. But like I am going to spend that money and cook all that food just to eat alone?
There is more than just the food as explained in my first post. Family is one of the reasons.

I assume that of Blacks because we are the poorest group out there. We spend much of our money in white society, and save very little of it, or hell, spend it in Black society.
I am not telling them, "don't spend your money on Black Friday", rather I am suggesting that they'd benefit far more if they saved the money that they would spend over the holidays on products.

If you are poor you don't have savings especially 10,000.
If you are poor what is saving your money going to afford you? You won't be able to save your way out of poverty.
So, spend that money on TV, cellphones, jordans, timberlands, etc...?
No, save and read a book.
The majority of people's money goes to food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, etc.
A small fraction of their money to the things you listed above. Not buying those things won't change their economic situation. You'd have to skip out on 100s of pairs of Jordan's to have enough money for big changes in lifestyle.

I was basing that post on wealth. We have 1.1 trillion in spending "power". We just don't save or spend that money within the Black community like you said.
