Anyone else hate how female-oriented music is these days?

Back in the 70's you had:

- Funk music
- Soulful r&b from Marvin Gaye and others reflecting the ups and downs of a black man in America
- Hard rock about boozin', fightin and chasin' skirts
- Blues/Blues Rock
- Outlaw Country

These days the scene is dominated by:

- Beyonce's endless string of "Guuuuuurl you ain't need that bum ass nikka anyway, shyt only men I need in my life are Ben, Jerry and Col. Sanders" tracks
- Other sassy female pop "divas"/white girls making faux hip hop dance tracks
- Pop country aimed at all the girls who wanted to ride ponies growing up but now just join sororities and get wasted
- Indie rock for girls who like emasculated skinny jean wearing simps
- Hip hop that's mainly club joints, nothing lyrical or complex

Less and less is there any music an average working Joe can turn on as he cracks open a beer at the end of the day :beli:

male r&b singers sing that your the one, past is the past, ill give oyu my heart, ima marry you, girl of my dreams
female r&b singers sell that, your replaceable, my life is better without you, found another just like you, im independent i dont need you

I get what you're trying to say, but iono if I agree.

I would agree that music is more shallow/non-feeling, but iono if that makes it more "female-oriented"...

If anything I feel like it's more misogynistic than ever. The biggest urban record of the year was nikkas repeating "these hoes ain't loyal" over and over again. Every tune is nikkas saying hoes ain't shyt or some other variation.

I guess you missed the whole Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Teena Marie and Donna Summers thing. And what you know about Marvin Gaye, Teddy Pendergrass, and Barry White? Men used to sing about love and respecting women a LOT more back in that era you claim was more "manly". Maybe you need to get your ears checked.:sas2:
