I've never got android Auto to work :yeshrug:

Have a 2020 whip and a 2024.

Do you need a subscription? I don't see what android Auto does that connecting my phone to Bluetooth doesn't.

I just connect my phone to the car via Bluetooth and play my audio.

This shyt been happening since August. It started after the Android update before this latest one. I have a Pixel 9a. Uninstalled YouTube and YouTube music and reinstalled them but still having this issue. shyt is frustrating.
Yeah it'll randomly happen, but only for a second or 2.

my music library is hosted at home on a macmini running jellyfin

i set up a firewall and opened up the dmz in my router to the macmini, then i bought a URL and set the record to my IP address. most ISPs will block ports like 80 and 443 so you cant self host, but they dont care about jellyfin running on port 8096 :lolbron:

my music library is all FLAC transcoded into OPUS. i dont understand why people pay for spotify. i really dont.

but i guess everyone doesnt know how to do this shyt :yeshrug:

i despise android auto. get that shyt out of cars.

Used to have issues in my previous car where I had the wired connection. I had to constantly disconnect/uninstall Android Auto and do the whole process all over again. In my new whip, it came with built-in wireless Android Auto & it's the best thing that ever happened to me :ahh:

Think they have dongles & shyt on Amazon too if your car doesn't support wireless internally.

wired connection used to give me some issues with android auto from time to time but once i got a wireless dongle and made sure the unit i got was up to date with the firmware..no more issues
