if you’ve been following the transmission and infection rates of other countries as well as followed the testing/no shutdown debacle going on so far here in the US

we are 7-10 days from full on shutdown mode. now that doesn’t mean time to PANIC. I’m not talking about grocery stores being shutdown. They’ll be open. So will pharmacies and hospitals.

but like, the single best thing so far to combat the spread has been self quarantine in every country it’s in. That window is the timeframe based on # of infections that countries like Italy wised up and shut shyt down

we are not far off of that at all.

again, I don’t mean that we are going to start looting and mass chaos etc. but in that timeframe you’ll see a mass quarantine where Grocers, emergency services, and pharmacies are the only things open

every company is preparing for this right now. It’s a matter of when not if.

I didn't mean my electric goes out personally.. I said they have power outages daily.. I work for Dept of Transportation and watch our network of equipment across the state. EVERY SINGLE DAY, there are major power outages, network outages, cellular outages, fiber outages, etc somewhere in the state. And that's just our equipment on the grid. I can't imagine out many outages they actually see at Verizon, or Potomac Edison.... Think of people in a water treatment plant, garbage men, shyt that can't stop operating... That's not a few people that run those operations. That's not a few cities, that's in every city, every town, everywhere. Those essential jobs you don't even think about. It's more than fire and police and shyt.

People in this thread are talking about a FULL quarantine. That means everyone in the US would be forced to stay home. Do y'all realize the amount of force they'd have to use to enforce that. Let alone what I'm speaking on. The amount of people they will need to give some sort of "pass" to be allowed to work their jobs, at all sorts of hours of the day, all across America.

I work at a restaurant and yesterday they put a sign outside saying we are now hiring. It doesnt make sense to me if everything about to close and shut down
