Madden is never terrible. It's just that people expectations are out of wack
Not saying it's some excellent game, but they are enjoyable and playable
Except that it isn't a retread. The physics engine ALONE was the biggest step the game made since going away from sprites.

What is it, don't buy them or buy them?
So now that they have a physics engine and not a canned animation one, they are focusing on the other areas this gen like lighting, crowds, immersion, and AI (the biggest issue at times - they currently just make the game cheat).

I haven't played a Madden game in about 8 years. I think it'll be something new for me...so I got it.
Its terrible compared to 2K.

2k aint mad a game in 10 years basically, and it's not terrible at all compared to that game
That is an all time great, but it's not like there hasn't been any madden close to that level, the problem is they all should have surpassed that level with all the new tech and licensing rights
